The products in this section are all designed to measure in real time, the temperature of the oil and
the moisture content in oil in two parameters:
- ppm which is the mass of water to the mass of oil.
- aw which is the actual water content as a fraction of the water content in water saturated oil.
This is similar to an RH measurement in air and will change with temperature.
An aw concentration =0 means no water is present and a value = 1 indicates the oil is saturated with water (for that temperature).
Typical applications for these sensors include electrical transformers, large engines, hydraulic systems and a variety of marine applications
(GL Certified). Measurement of water in oil will vary with the type of oil used. We have calibration information for
most commonly used oils but in some cases we may have to have a sample of the oil to be monitored to create the proper
calibrated response (one time laboratory charges may apply).
